As per Guisan on the Swiss Rifle board "The 1889, 96/11, 1911 and K11 have the set screw under the blade, a K31 sight base has a locking pin that needs to be tapped out first and then the base is soldered to the barrel and it's very hard to take it off." We cut a slot in a piece of wood and laid the front sight in it, then flared the bottom of the front sight rivet from inside the slide.
