If you want more fun choices and have some ahistorical gameplay, go redux. If you want mod that is only for historically accurate stuff and you like playing on outdated trees, go for great war Wolferos mod. Great war redux is more in depth. It depends.

IMO both have their merits and worth playing. Great War is mostly railroading into the war. You can't really do anything about it, and it's pretty historical in that regard.
