It doesn't count as Combat EXP, so it isn't enhanced by equipment like the pre-order earrings, friendship circlet, The Heat of Battle (FC Buff) or food. It can only be enhanced by the Road to 70 buff. Making it actually worse to level on if you are on Road to 70, technically. WebFFXIV doesn't have a skill tree system, so its main spice is the ability to unlock all jobs on one character. You don't have to, you're just encouraged to. Once you get to the Shadowbringers expansion, it would be advisable to have at least one tank, one healer, one physical DPS, and one magical DPS leveled.
